Alternative Online Income

Posted December 10th 2007 @ 8:28 am by Adino

Today I just want to share with you a couple of alternate methods I found to make money online.

Before I go on, I want to disclose that the links in this post are affiliate links, which means I do get some commission from you joining as a member.

1. Planet Pulse

Planet Pulse is basically a service that connects you to companies looking for survey information. When you are offered to do a survey, you are given ‘Pulse points’. Every 100 pulse points can be converted into 1 USD.

The service is run by the Pulse Group, which is an Australian company with a regional hub in KL.

When you sign up, you are offered a travel survey worth 50 pulse points. Payments can be deposited into your PayPal account, with a minimum payout of USD10. You can get up to 5000 pulse points per survey.

So far, I have been offered a survey worth 3 USD from a petrol company. As a bonus they even sent me a Pizza Hut voucher for a free personal pan set meal.

You get points for referrals too.

Sign up for Planet Pulse here:

Join PLANET PULSE.

The server is very slow and severely overloaded so you may have to be a bit patient and keep reloading.

Disclosure: As your referrer, I get bonus Pulse Points for each survey you take.

2. Adbux

I have written a post on this before. I have my reservations about this due to the background of the people involved, but if you read their forums now you can see that they have paid their customers, and this site has been running for a while now.

What you have to do is click on a series of ads every day, and you get between half a cent to one cent per click.

They also allow you to earn a few cents by signing up for certain websites or buy some products but I would be very careful with these as they usually require you to submit credit card information.

It’s slow income but it’s better than nothing.

When you refer others to join, you get a bonus for each ad they click on.

To speed things up you are encouraged to ‘purchase referrals’ or upgrade to a premium account. I would not advise you to do this, unless you are willing to take the risk.

All the characteristics of a pyramid marketing method are there, so I warn you not to get too greedy. Just join them, and click the ads to make money. Don’t invest in it yet.

Sign up for Adbux here (edit: I removed the link already). I advise you to make sure you have an antivirus installed, and make sure you clear your cache of private information before you browse the ads.

Payments can be deposited into your PayPal account, with a minimum payout of USD10.

Disclosure: As your referrer, I get a bonus for each ad you click on.

Warning: It would be a very high risk to ‘invest’ in this program. Do some Google research on Adbux to make your own judgement.

Do you have your own alternative online income to share?

    its not very attractive

Adino: Yeah, I know it’s a small amount of money compared to sponsored posts. But like I said… a bit is better than nothing.

I’d say AdBox is not very legitimate. After all, ads are not meant to work like that at all. It’s bad for the advertisers.

Adino: I leave that judgment up to you :) However the ads in their site are not AdSense or CPC ads, they are ads that are served by Adbux advertisers.
