September 16th a Holiday

Posted September 2nd 2008 @ 8:28 am by Adino

Have you heard the latest news?

September 16th will be a public holiday for all Pakatan Rakyat states!

This holiday is meant to commemorate the formation of Malaysia.

This is different from Merdeka (Independence) Day on August 31st, which is to remember the day our nation achieved independence from British rule.

Too bad I’m working in KL

:(

Just a short twitter-like post for today!

    I don’t like the idea
In fact, I think all the holidays in Malaysia should have a relook
There are just way too many holidays

    Adino: Speaking like a boss

    :P

Actually I prefer if they allow us to have holidays in a continuous block or increase the minimum annual leave per year. People will go for vacation at different times instead of cramming during certain peak periods

So do you get a day off? Or is it a week off?

Adino: It’s a day off, but I won’t get a holiday because I’m working in another state that might not implement this holiday.
