In yesterday’s news, the police are going to setup a CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) unit for each state in Malaysia. The purpose is to “capture evidence properly”.
My question is… “WHAT!? Shouldn’t you have implemented this years ago?”
In any case, look out for more dramas ahead. I just hope that the police will really do a good job. I hope no one will go around trying to be next David Caruso. All the investigators in the CSI series seem to have an IQ of above 150. They seem to have expertise in every field. They can remember snippets of facts with the tiniest promptings.
Do you think we have even one of these people in our CSI? I hope so.

first of all, dude we’re in MALAYSIA. nothing to be compared to the US. Third world la, what do you expect? at least we are improving in term of our quality of service, compared to the other 3rd worlds. We are leading far beyond. Our police force is one of the best in the world> Believe it? We only have one forensic lab in cheras, but for other states, all the crimes are handed directly to Makmal Forensik jabatan kimia. Maybe after this, they’ll recruit phatologists and scientists into the police force. And hey, stop comparing reality with tv shows. Hollywood bro. Fictions.
Adino: Whoa! This comment comes almost 6 months later. That’s got to be a record for this blog
My intention in writing this post is:
1) One CSI per state is not enough. This is not TV-land where crimes only seem to happen in one city and can be solved within one hour
2) I was hinting that it is actually impossible to follow the example of the CSIs we see on TV. Those agents have the supernatural ability to know so much and are so talented in everything. Real life CSIs are not like this.
They setup this unit to “capture evidence properly”, but my question is… why didn’t they do this years before?
With all due respect to your opinions, I don’t think our police force is one of the best in the world. But if they are, and I’m wrong, then that’s great news!
By the way, welcome to my blog, and thanks for leaving a comment! It would be great if you left your name so that we could get to know each other. I have an unwritten policy that anonymous comments get deleted… and I don’t want to do that
