Why So Hot One?

Translated: “I don’t understand why it can get so warm in my room”

Walking from my living room into my bedroom is like walking from the cool mountain air into a dim sum steamer.

It’s like eating a cool triple scoop chocolate sundae and then drinking piping hot sharks fin and abalone soup.

It’s like a crystal clear diamond compared to a fiery red cursed ruby.

It’s like a mountain spring meeting magma spewing from a volcano.

Last night I couldn’t stop sweating in bed. In the end Poey Chin my wonderful wife had to turn on the air conditioner (I estimate that costs around 2 ringgit a pop).

If I open the window, I become an all-you-can-eat Ramadhan buffet for the mosquitoes in my area.

When I sleep in an air conditioned room, I always wake up feeling extra tired.

And then I get really grumpy. And then I start ranting when I write.

I could sleep naked or nude, but I’m not comfortable with that because of the mosquitoes.

Making things worse are all the pillows and blankets that are on the bed (sorry darling).

Worse of all, the weather turns all cool and fresh when I’m about to go to work.

Sigh… I need sleep. And a solution to my warm balmy nights.

It is time for you to get air cond.. :)

Adino: I have air cond… but I’m too stingy to use it, and after using it I either get a cold the next day or I don’t get a proper sleep :(

Set the air cond to go off after few hours la – you’ll feel better :)
    Here’s to cooler nights ahead.

Adino: You know, a super duper programmer like me still hasn’t been able to figure out my air cond’s timer settings.

fix mossie screens on your windows/door …they’re probably a good long
term investment ..we have those at our home and they work really
well in keeping the mossies out.

Adino: That’s a good idea! Thanks!

comon, you call that hot? don’t you remember the time i was in the room with u, and i just had petai and garlic with a tinge of onion……. lol. ok, maybe not, but when you feel too hot, just think of that image and you’ll stop complaining. and besides, i wish i was you, coz in the next few days, temp is gonna drop here. and in dec should reach 0C and by feb…… -25C – -35C…. sigh, you have it good. trust me.

Adino: Oh man… I don’t remember. Maybe it was too traumatizing! Anyway… I think I would die in that kind of cold temperature :(

    I agree with Rachel.
    use mosquito screen.
With it, I usually only use aircon about 5 nights in a year?
I wake up feeling better without aircon

Adino: I can’t believe I never thought of something like that… in my parents house I had a mosquito screen. I guess I assumed mosquitoes can’t fly so high… but they can certainly take the stairs!
