September 16th a Holiday

Have you heard the latest news?

September 16th will be a public holiday for all Pakatan Rakyat states!

This holiday is meant to commemorate the formation of Malaysia.

This is different from Merdeka (Independence) Day on August 31st, which is to remember the day our nation achieved independence from British rule.

Too bad I’m working in KL

Just a short twitter-like post for today!

  1. Hi Adino Chang,
First time to your blog, and i find it very interesting. Your blog is very neat too.
    Keep it up πŸ™‚

Adino: Thanks! Welcome to my blog, hope you stick around!

  2. I don’t like the idea
In fact, I think all the holidays in Malaysia should have a relook
There are just way too many holidays

    Adino: Speaking like a boss

Actually I prefer if they allow us to have holidays in a continuous block or increase the minimum annual leave per year. People will go for vacation at different times instead of cramming during certain peak periods

  3. So do you get a day off? Or is it a week off?

Adino: It’s a day off, but I won’t get a holiday because I’m working in another state that might not implement this holiday.

  4. for yr info, my frens in Sibu all all for it as it shows solidarity within the nation. it will help project the image that we r all equal

Adino: It’s time that Malaysia paid more attention to Sabah and Sarawak
