i tried to cancel my allianz bank card today.. lots of steps to take. still not able to. i will go to the bank personally.

Adino: Yup, sometimes they make it really difficult to cancel. But even when you go to the bank, best if you write a letter. Last time I went without a letter, they passed me a blank A4 paper then asked me to write one on the spot!

I am still waiting for those banks to come up with creative ways to offset the RM50

They may even say:
Those who swipe more than 5k in a year, the bank will foot your RM50
That will save all my troubles

Adino: Hopefully that will be the case, but I suppose banks will find some way to cover their ‘extra cost’. Perhaps they will cut down on the rewards scheme or charge higher annual fees.
