Welcome to Adino Online!

My name is Adino Chang and my wife is Poey Chin.This blog is the highlight reel and the instant replay of my life.

See the world from the perspective of a young father who loves technology, the Internet, bowling, personal finance, blogging, music, travel and food.

I blog because I love to write. It is like a form of therapy for me to organize my thoughts and opinions into an article that can be shared with others. I love how I have got to know many wonderful people since I started to blog.

I am 32 years old and grew up in Subang Jaya. I’m currently living in Kelana Jaya, Malaysia. Kelana Jaya is just 20 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur. I married Poey Chin (the girl God created for me) in 2007. Poey Chin is talented, very patient with my weird habits and she’s a great cook.

She is a contemporary music graduate majoring in song composition. Her main instrument is the keyboard / piano, but she also plays the saxophone and sings really well *proud*. She spends her time teaching music and being a wonderful mother.

We have a three year old girl, Rachel. She was born in May 2008 and she’s going to be tall like her daddy! She’s chatty and cheeky and curious.

We also have a one year old toddler Daryl, who was born in May 2010. He’s smiling all the time, cute and chubby.

Recently we’ve been blessed with our third baby, Caleb in August 2011. It’s too soon to tell, but he’s gonna be the serious, moody melancholic one.

I am a Christian attending DUMC (Damansara Utama Methodist Church) since the middle of 2007. The celebrations on Saturday (5pm) and Sunday (10am) are held at the DUMC Dream Centre in Section 13 PJ.

Poey Chin and I met when she joined my (hibernating) band, we needed a 2nd keyboardist / female vocalist.

I work as a development and database team lead in a mid-sized company in Kuala Lumpur.

I have eleven years of experience in the software industry. I have been involved in two major software development life cycles, and personally taken charge of the development and implementation of a web customer information system, a point of sales system and an online shopping site.

My areas of speciality are query optimization, code standardization, usability design and documentation. My technical skills include Microsoft SQL Server, PHP, ASP, JavaScript, Java (Hibernate/Struts), ASP .Net, Sybase Powerbuilder, and MySQL.
